What have you been up to since you graduated:

In 2010 my twin sister Angela and I both graduated from the University of Iowa where I studied elementary and special education. I am about to start my 12th year with Kenosha Unified School District as a Special Educator. My first 8 years I served as an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher. In 2013 I received a Master’s Degree in Exceptional Education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. My husband Nate and I were married at St. Anthony Church in Kenosha on August 8, 2015. We welcomed our first child, Grace, into our family on September 14, 2016 and our 2nd, Attilio (Lio) on April 1st, 2018. I am about to start my 4th year as an Early Childhood Special Education Diagnostician for KUSD. Other than my roles as Mom, Wife and Educator, I enjoy spending my free time spending time with family and friends, cooking, golfing, and being an Auntie to my amazing nieces & nephews.

Extracurricular School Activities at St Joes:

Basketball, Volleyball, Softball
Student Council—Class President (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior years)
Student Ambassador

School Story:

Other than my involvement in 3 varsity sports and holding role of Co-Captain for Volleyball, Basketball, and Softball Junior and Senior year, I really enjoyed the leadership skills I was able to gain by serving as the Class President all 4 years of high school. A very exciting memory from Freshman year was witnessing my older sister Theresa be crowned Homecoming Queen. We were able to ride in the convertible with her in the Homecoming Parade that year. It was then that Ang and I realized the parade had lost the pizzazz it had once had in previous years and needed some help. As the Junior Class President, I took on the job of Homecoming Parade Chair and worked tirelessly with the guidance and support of my Mom and SJ Alumni, Amy (Tirabassi) Cicchini who was also Class President during her time, in order to restore and restructure the parade. We brought back some of the features that made it spectacular in the past, similar to what I remember from spectating the event as a kid. It was so fun and memorable to watch it all come together! Finally, I truly enjoyed having the opportunity to speak at Graduation as the 2006 Master of Ceremony.
