Faith to Grow Campaign

Dear Lancer Community,

We would like to extend a special thanks to those of you who participated in the Campaign Update interview or survey. We received a wonderful response from the school community, feedback that is extremely beneficial as we look to the future of SJCA.

After gathering and analyzing data from the responses, representatives from the Steier Group reported their findings to the Board of Directors on April 9, 2025. We learned there is significant support in the community to ensure our Academy is well positioned for success in the future. Further, we also realized there are many questions about solidifying our long-term vision.

Simultaneously, the City of Kenosha notified SJCA that the parcel of land under contract will NOT be rezoned for Institutional use. As a result, we now have an opportunity to refocus this capital campaign and make investments in the areas identified/rated as most important.

Therefore, SJCA Leadership will be refining the campaign case and structure to align with the highest ranked initiatives of SJCA’s strategic plan:

  • Grow Our Team & Improve Our Learning Environment: Invest in staff retention and facilities.
  • Grow Our Academic Excellence: Fund curriculum, technology, and partnerships.
  • Community, Growth and Sustainability: Establish a campus fund for land/facility expansion.
  • Grow Our Faith: Strengthen parish ties and Catholic identity initiatives.

This will be accomplished through:

  • Engaging leadership and volunteers.
  • Launch comprehensive communications strategy.
  • Provide answers to FAQs, regular updates on the campaign website, posts on social media, and information in nearby parish bulletins.
  • Begin preparation for donor cultivation and solicitation.
  • Organize strategic events and/or donor experiences.

You will hear much more about the revitalized Faith to Grow campaign in the coming weeks and months.

Once again, thank you for your participation. Your input has been extremely beneficial and will help to ensure the success of our upcoming campaign. With the Lord guiding us and our school, we have no doubt our efforts will be abundantly blessed.

On behalf of the entire SJCA Board of Directors,
Sincerely,

Matthew Rizzo
SJCA President
