Alumni Association Projects

On this page you will find information about St. Joe related projects that the Alumni Association has contributed funds and support towards.

Eagle Scout Project

Max Riesselmann, a St. Joe's student and member of the Scouts, is working towards attaining his rank of Eagle.  As part of that process, Max is required to demonstrate leadership by conducting a community service project.  Max chose to do his project to support St. Joe's and as a tribute to Pauline McTernan and the St. Joe Alumni.

Max's project consists of building a brick walkway from the existing flag pole brick area to an area near the front entrance that will have several benches, and will also include cleaning up and refurbishing the flower area and bushes near the school main entrance.  The project is expected to be completed in April 2025.

The St. Joseph Alumni Association contributed $1,000 towards this project and supported it with emails to alumni and a page on the alumni website.

Alumni Military Veterans Honor Wall

The SJCA board of directors voted to install a plaque to recognize and honor those alumni who have served or are currently serving in the military.  The Alumni Association was asked to make a contribution towards the project.  The Association board of directors agreed to contribute $1,000 towards the Veterans Honor Wall project.  The Honor Wall was built in the school lobby near the entrance to the theater.  The Association also played a role in gathering information on St. Joe graduates who have served in the military.  The Honor Wall was unveiled during a dedication ceremony on January 26, 2023.

The Alumni Association maintains a page on its website that lists all known military veterans and those in active service.  Click to view Veterans Honor Wall page.
