Joey Petrusky, 44, of Pleasant Prairie, WI, was born into eternal life on January 25, 2022. He was born on January 12, 1978 in Waukegan, Illinois. He graduated from St. Joseph High School in Kenosha, WI, and Columbia College in Chicago, IL.
Joey had an infectious laugh and a smile that would light up a room. He loved his family and friends, but most of all Joey loved Jesus and he loved to share his beliefs with others. He shared scripture and God’s love with all around him and we are confident others have welcomed Jesus into their hearts because of him.
After his love of Jesus, family, and friends, Joey loved sports. All sports. He loved playing them, as well as watching them, especially his Cubs, Badgers, and Vikings. He could also destroy anyone at sports trivia. Actually, he was amazing at all trivia. While we are going to miss Joey here on earth, we are comforted to know he’s in Jesus’ loving arms.
Joey is survived by his parents Tom and Leigh Ann Petrusky; sister, Rachel (Chris) Leach; nieces, Harper and Aubrey; nephew, Carson; grandparents, Lynn and Donna Hoselton; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents John and Emily Petrusky.
Visitation will be on Sunday, January 30, beginning at 2 PM, personal remembrances begin at 4:30 PM at Gurnee Salata Funeral Home, 4190 Old Grand Ave, Gurnee, IL 60031.
A brief visitation will be held from 10 to 11 AM on Monday, January 31, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 9091 Prairie Ridge Blvd, Pleasant Prairie, WI 53158, followed by the Funeral Mass at 11 AM.
