DAVID NELSON OBITUARY

David Scott Nelson, 41, of Waukegan, passed away on Monday October 6, 2008 at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan.

He was born February 18, 1967 in Waukegan, and was a lifelong resident. He attended St. Anastasia School in Waukegan, and St. Joseph High School in Kenosha, WI.

He enjoyed boating and fishing, with his daughter and friends on Lake Michigan, and the Chain of Lakes.

His winter sports were snowmobiling and he was also a great skier. He loved the steep runs and skiing the trees at many of the major ski resorts in Colorado and Utah.

He was a brick layer by trade and worked with his father at Nelson Masonry in Waukegan.

He is survived by his ten-year-old daughter, Rachel; his parents, Richard and Barbara (nee Brassik) Nelson of Waukegan; brothers and sister, Ronald (Maria) Nelson of Waukegan, Curt (Jessica) Nelson of Pleasant Prairie, WI, Michael (Mary) Nelson of Beach Park and Sandra (Tien) Do of Arvada, CO; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his infant brother, of the same name, David Scott Nelson.

David was a loving and devoted father to his daughter, Rachel and spent many hours with her, bicycle riding, playing basketball and many other activities. He had recently spent many hours building a swimming pool for her.
