KENOSHA - Michael J.'Mike' Covelli, 37,
went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 21, 2003.
Michael's passing was the result of a head-on car collision on Hwy 158 in Kenosha that same day.
Michael was born January 4, 1966 to Jolene (Covelli) Flatley in Kenosha.
Michael lived with his grandfather and grandmother, Joseph and Mary Covelli at 2112 53rd Street and remained living there until his death.
He attended Mt. Carmel Grade School and graduated from St. Joseph's High School.
He went on to complete Barber school as well.
He married Sandra Thorsen on December 23, 1991 at Woodstock Nursing Home on Sheridan Road in Kenosha where his grandmother was a resident.
Together they had three beautiful children:
Joseph Michael, Kaitlin Jolene and Benjamin Fleetwood.
In 2000 they purchased a farmette in Racine County and were working toward realizing Michael's dream of becoming a farmer.
This desire to be a farmer will never be realized here on earth but hopefully Heaven has a few acres reserved just for him.
He was a member of True Life Church in Racine as well and shared his love for God whenever he could.

I remember when I got the call that you have passed away in an auto accident. I drove all night to get the funeral and pay respects to you and your family. It's funny how we were so close in high school and then slowly drifted away in college. Next thing we knew was that one of us was getting married. I often remember the good times we had and wonder if life would have been in a different direction had I returned to kenosha.
