John P. Schmidt Jr., 62, of Kenosha, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019, at Froedtert South Kenosha Campus. John was born on Aug. 24, 1956, in Kenosha to John and Lida (Matteucci) Schmidt Sr. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha, Holy Rosary grade school, graduated from St. Joseph's High School and attended U.W. Parkside. John worked at Vista Medical Center in food service and as a security guard with the Zion power plant for many years. He enjoyed playing music on his guitar, was a member of the Audubon Society and was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears and Cubs.
