Thomas N. "Tucker"  Petersen

 

Thomas N. "Tucker" Petersen, 59, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 12, 2012, at his residence surrounded by his brothers and sisters.
Born in Kenosha on May 1, 1953, he was the son of the late Robert W. and Rosemary (Tyson) Petersen. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha.
For over 33 years he worked as a carpenter for Lunda Construction, building bridges all around the state. He served as Conductor for the Executive Board of Carpenter’s Union Local 161 for over 30 years. Tucker enjoyed spending time in Northern Wisconsin with his family and friends, fishing, hunting, cookouts, and drinking cold beer. He was a mentor and father figure to his nieces and nephews. Family was of great importance to him.
Surviving are his seven brothers and sisters, Kristine (Larry) Fonk, Barbara (Dale) Robertson, Melanie Petersen, John (Tami) Petersen, Jean (John) Dubrava, Susan (Danny) Poole and James Petersen; and also many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Mark Juckett and the entire staff of the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, Dr. Malik Bandealy and his entire staff, and everyone at Hospice Alliance, especially Jaime and Michelle.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 17th, at Proko Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. Private interment will be at St. George Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Hospice Alliance would be appreciated by the family.
