Matthew Bosisio - Class Of 1971

Matthew Bosisio

From Claudia Coogan Beacon '71:

With a heavy heart, I will share that our classmate, Matt Bosisio, passed away on Sunday, September 5 in Seattle, Washington due to cancer complications.

Matt and I were high school sweethearts, married in 1975, and lived and worked in 10 different states building a life together. In 1986, a phenomenal Angel-son joined us, Landon Bosisio. We were so enthralled and Matt was a wonderful father to Laddie (as we call him). Sadly, after 20 years of marriage, we parted ways. We remained united in watching our Landon grow up and become the great man he is. Matt moved after his retirement from Georgia to Seattle to be closer to Landon and his wife, Stephanie Noss.

Matt was a tremendous teacher/professor in the mass communications department at Northwest Missouri State University and later, Augusta (Georgia) State University. He worked as a news writer for many newspapers around the country and the US Department of Agriculture.

He is survived by Landon Bosisio (Stephanie Noss) and their son, Bennett Bosisio. He also leaves a brother, William Bosisio and a sister, Gladys Mogensen (‘73).
