Mark A. Wojcehowicz was born on July 8, 1949, the son of  Walter and Gladys Wojcehowicz. 

He attended St. Thomas Aquinas Elementary School, St. Joseph High School and graduated from Tremper High School in 1967.

A Vietnam War veteran, he served in the Marine Corps as a Sergeant from April 9, 1968 to July 21, 1971.  He was awarded the Defense Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with a palm and the Vietnam Service Medal with a star.

He had been employed as a welder for more than 18 years at American Motors Corporation and served as Steward and Chief Steward in UAW Local 72 for 10 years.

He was survived by his father; his brothers, Dave Michaels, Robert Wojcehowicz and James Wojcehowicz; and a sister, Martha Kreuser.  He was preceded in death by his mother and a brother, Francis. 

He died April 4, 1986 at the age of 36.
