Richard H. "Dick" Zuehlsdorf, 74, of Waterford, passed away Monday, August 8, 2022 at Aurora St. Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee.

Born in Kenosha, Wisconsin on February 25, 1948, he was the son of Clayton and Frances (nee Fonk) Zuehlsdorf. His early life was spent in Kenosha, where he graduated from St. Joseph’s High School and Carthage College. He also served in the US Air Force. He was a resident of Waterford since 1986.

Dick worked as director of purchasing at JI Case prior to serving as a vice president for procurement for Andersen Windows and Doors and travelled the world searching for wood to be used for Andersen Windows. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and loved to golf, read, play softball and playing cards. He was a very social person and knew a million jokes.

Dick is survived by his fiancée, Linda Chalk; children, Scott Zuehlsdorf and Allison Zuehlsdorf; sisters, Kay (Richard) Ammerman and Joy (David) Chantry; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Amanda and brother Robert.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Aurora Mt. Pleasant and Aurora St. Luke’s for the care given to Richard, along with his oncologist, Dr. Michael Mullane.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church for masses, or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday August 15, 2022 at 11AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Waterford. Relatives and friends can visit with the family on Sunday August 14, 2022 at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home from 3PM until 6PM. Private burial will take place in St. Thomas Aquinas Parish Cemetery.
