Timothy Lichter

RACINE - Timothy E. Lichter, 56, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2004, at his residence.

Born on April 20, 1948, in Kenosha, he was the son of the late Edward and Rose (nee: Thilges) Lichter. On June 29, 1968, at the former St. George Catholic Church, he married Ruth Anne Jensen of Racine.

He received his education at St. George Catholic School and graduated from St. Joseph's High School in Kenosha. Along with his father, he operated a dairy farm on the land which is now the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. In 1968, he moved to Wheatland to farm there until 1988. He then moved to Racine and worked at Lathrop Furniture. He attended St. Lucy's Catholic Church in Racine. He loved the outdoors, taking care of his yard, and enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters and watching them grow. Many people might remember his laughter.

Surviving are his wife, Ruth Anne of Racine; a daughter, Laura (Raymond) Krencisz of Racine; a son, Jason (Stephany) Lichter of Racine; one sister, Monica 'Mic' Eichelberg of Oregon, Wis.; two granddaughters, Brittany Anne Krencisz and Megan Lauren Lichter; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services for Timothy E. Lichter will be held from the Proko Funeral Home and Crematory, 5111 - 60th Street, Kenosha, on Wednesday, June 2, 2004, at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at West Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Proko Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5 until 8 p.m.
