Christine Hartnell (Stewart)

Christine M. Stewart

1946 - 2017

Christine M. Stewart, 70, a resident of Kenosha, died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017, at Brookside Care Center.

Christine was born in Kenosha on Dec. 25, 1946, a special gift on Christmas to Clyde and Lillian (Niccolai) Hartnell. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1965. She later was married to Bradley Stewart for 20 years, and they had two wonderful sons who she loved with all her heart.

She had a rewarding career caring for patients as a medical assistant working for Dr. Roman Bilak and later for Dr. Rodrigo Mata III in Kenosha. Christine enjoyed spending time on the water, cooking for her family, and cheering on the Packers, but most of all she cherished spending time with her large family, especially her brothers and sisters, her two sons and their wives, and her three very special granddaughters.

Christine is survived by her sons, Ryan (Kristen) Stewart and Todd (Nancy) Stewart and by her beautiful granddaughters, Riley, Reagan, and Morgan. She is further survived by her brothers, Leonard (Clare) Hartnell and Tim (Laurie) Hartnell and by her sisters, Marianne (Wallace) Daniels, Eileen (Joseph) Falcone, Elizabeth (Edward) Miller, Janet (Frank) Germinaro, Therese (Anthony) Caira, Rosanne (David) Lawler, Carolyn Molinaro, and dozens of nieces and nephews.

Preceding Christine in death were her parents, Clyde and Lillian Hartnell, and her niece Natalie Edman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday Oct. 28, 2017, at 11 a.m. at St. Mark Catholic Church. Visitation with the family will be on Saturday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of mass.

In lieu of flowers memorials, to Hospice Alliance would be appreciated.

The family is very grateful to the staff at Brookside Care Center and to the people from Hospice Alliance, especially Sara, Terry and Connie for all the compassion and kindness they offered so freely.
