Jeanne Greb (Schmitz)

Jeanne Marie (Greb) Schmitz

1947 - 2015

Jeanne Marie Schmitz (Greb) a former resident of Kenosha, passed away on May 6, 2015, at Hospice of the Valley in Gilbert, Ariz. Through the last days of her life, she was surrounded by family and friends and left us peacefully.

Jeanne was born on Sept. 3, 1947, to Milton and Patricia Greb of Kenosha. Jeanne was the oldest of four children and is survived by her sisters, Joni and Jackie, and her brother Jim. Jeanne attended grade school at St. Marks and graduated from St. Josephs High School in 1965. Immediately upon graduation, Jeanne began her career with Eaton-Dynamatic and remained with the company for 34 years.

Jeanne married Eugene "Gino" Schmitz and had a son, Gene. She remained in Kenosha until moving to Arizona in 2005. While residing in Kenosha, Jeanne especially enjoyed her years as a chaperone with the Band of the Black Watch and continued on to support Kenosha's local music scene.

After moving to Arizona, Jeanne's love of music and musicians compelled her to accept a position with Fender Musical Instruments in Scottsdale and retired in 2013.

For those who knew Jeanne, her family and extended family of friends invite you to celebrate her life with us at Kemper Center's Simmons Auditorium on Sunday, June 28, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. A brief prayer service will commence at 4 p.m.
