Kathleen R. Heinzman (Amo), 56, of Kenosha died Saturday (Jan 10, 2004) at Aurora Medical Center. Born October 27, 1947, in Kenosha, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Rosina (Glosson) Amo. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, she attended Holy Rosary Elementary School, St. Joseph's High School, and received her licensed practical nursing degree from Gateway Technical Institute. On March 1, 1969, in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, she married Roger W. Heinzman. He died Nov. 7, 1988. While employed as a nurse with St. Catherine's Hospital, she also served as coordinator of the Sexual Assault Unit. Following St. Catherine's, she worked in the Kenosha County District Attorney's Office. She was then employed with WoMen and Children's Horizons/Pathways of Courage as a shelter coordinator and counselor for many years. While at Women and Children's Horizons, she also was employed with the Shalom Center as a shelter supervisor and worked with the INNS program. Kathy was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the Women of the Moose, Chapter 155. She enjoyed trips to Disney World, NASCAR racing, dining out, shopping, reading and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.
