Robert L. Galley, 51, of Kenosha, died Thursday (September 3, 1998) at Kenosha Hospital and Medical Center.  He was born January 18, 1947, in Kenosha, to Daniel L. and Regina "Jean" M. (Rosing) Galley.  A lifelong resident of Kenosha, he attended St. Mary's Elementary Grade School and graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1965.   He enlisted in the Wisconsin Army National Guard on January 4, 1966, serving with Battery C, 1st Battalion, 126th Field Artillery.  On Feb. 4, 1967 he married Barbara A. Buege at St. Mary's Catholic Church.  The marriage ended in divorce in 1986.  Bob worked for the City of Kenosha for many years beginning as an engineering aide in 1966.  In 1974 he was promoted to assistant plant operator with the water department, retiring in 1992 due to ill health.  He attended St. Mary's Catholic Church.  He was a member of AFSCME AFL-CIO Local 0071, and a former member of the Moose Lodge 286.  As a young man he was active with the Somers Sno-Goers Snowmobile Club.  He enjoyed car racing and was an avid fisherman and hunter.  Bob was also an avid Greenbay Packer fan.  Survivors include his father of Kenosha; two daughters, Michelle D. Galley of Kenosha and Kimberly K. Galley of Belleville, KS; three brothers, James L. of Oconomowoc, Daniel G. and Michael J., both of Kenosha; and one sister, Kathern J. Robertson of Wasilla, AK.  He was preceded in death by his mother on Sep. 16, 1985; a brother in infancy; and a son, Timothy Robert, in infancy.  Piasecki-Althaus-Thulin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
