Our sister, Loretta (Lorie) (Seianas) Scheinkoenig, passed away on June 29, 2013. She was a SJHS graduate of class of 1964.
As her oldest sister (1960 alum)I knew dearest Lorie for 67 years from the moment of her birth. She and I were very close talking to each other twice a week, traveling to various US states, Brazil and Europe together with my wonderful husband plus spending many, many happy times at our cottage and our homes. I miss her terribly. My heart hurts so much. She was a wonderful person, a great sister and a truly good mother and wife and also a fabulous teacher. We oftentimes reminisced about our great times at St. Joe's - such beautiful and fun memories...and then we both went to Whitewater to become teachers and that was also such a fine experience as we both graduated knowing exactly how to teach. Thank you, the good sisters at St. Joe's for your solid and creative teaching - you prepared us for the world. My heart hurts all the time over the passing of my dear sister. I am so sad and broken and know the family of St. Joe's understands.

Ken Ade (1964)
I am deeply saddened to hear of Loetta's death. She was a friend when I needed one. As one of the many class clowns of 1964, I was perpetually in someone's dog house, but Loretta was a constant source of support and sympathy. We shared many laughs, gossip about Sister Al and some serious talk. All these years latter, I feel what should not suprise me; a great emotional loss. She will always be in my heart.
Love you Lorie.

Marybeth Safransky (Zuhlke) (1964)
Lorie Seianas Scheinkoenig was a lifelong treasured friend. We were close all through High School.
We even attended UW-Whitewater together and were roommates one semester when I came back
from the University of Dallas when my dad became ill. I got to know her husband George too..they
met there and were a wonderful couple.... We both became teachers and shared many ideas and
lots of stories. It was so neat that her sister, Cynthiann became a teache andr was my son Ravi's
kindergarten teacher at St. Peter's School in Kenosha. Lorie, Diane Fox Gilles, Bev Mattioli Mich,
Rose Furloni Thome, and I would meet yearly in the summer at Lorie's condo in Milwaukee for
a Girls' Day together. It would always be the highlight of the summer for me. I will miss her smile,
her amazing giggle and laugh and her compassion and care for others.
With sympathy, blessings, and gratitude for our friendship...Marybeth Safransky Zuhlke Class of 64
