Joan LaVerne Whipp

Joan LaVerne Whipp, 71, entered the Fullness of Eternal Life on Feb. 25, 2017.

Preceded in death by her parents Paul and LaVerne Hammond of Racine, Wis. Joan is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Thomas Whipp; her adored children, Ryan (Alex Zobacheva) Whipp, Sonja Whipp, and Emily Whipp; her cherished grandson, Jonathan Whipp; her beloved sisters Diane (Steve) Kavalauskas, Margo (Carl McClendon) Hammond, and Renee Hammond; and her loving nephew, Matthew (Christine) Kavalauskas and niece, Natasha (Jason) Hernandez. Further survived by other relatives and dear friends.

Joan and her family are grateful for her beloved friends and colleagues, and for her extended family both here and in Sweden.

Family will greet friends on Thursday, March 2, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Feerick Funeral Home, 2025 E. Capitol Drive in Shorewood, as well as on Friday, March 3, from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. Hedwig Catholic Church, on the corner of Humboldt Ave. and Brady St. in Milwaukee. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated immediately following at St. Hedwig's at 11 a.m. Interment will be private for the family.
