Thomas Raymond Kaufman, 75, died on March 1, 2018, at Baptist East Hospital, Memphis Tenn., of cardiac arrest.

He was born Jan. 13, 1943, at St. Catherine's Hospital in Kenosha Wis., the son of the late Alfred W and LaVerne (Stein) Kaufman. He attended Kenosha schools, graduating from St. Joseph High School. Tom lived in Kenosha, Racine, Paddock Lake, Fla. and Tenn.

On July 10, 1965, he married Phyllis Ann Krahn at St. Mary's Rectory, Kenosha Wis.

Tom's first job, along with his late brother Bob, was bean and strawberry picking to make money. Tom then started delivering newspapers for the Kenosha News and was hired as a pressman printing the newspaper. He also worked in the garage, working on delivery vehicles and snow plowing. He retired from the Kenosha News in 1999. In 2000 he was hired by the Kenosha Achievement Center driving clients to and from the Center until 2003.

He stayed in Kenosha to be near his son Michael, and his wife, Maria (Lina) Juarbe until moving to Brighton Tenn. in 2014, to be near his daughter Kimberly Kampert.

Tom loved to go to the casino, watch NASCAR on TV rooting for Dale Earnhardt Jr, going to the movies, mowing the lawn on the John Deere and travel. He was also involved in doing the Kaufman Genealogy, traveling to different locations to find information. Tom loved to help drive his grandchildren to work, activities, etc.

Tom loved to watch the Green Bay Packers with his son Michael. He started a fantasy football team with the family and friends taking on the role of commissioner. He loved to win against his son and daughter.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years and eight months, Phyllis; his children, Kimberly Kampert of Brighton, Tenn., and Michael Kaufman and his wife Lina Juarbe of Kenosha Wis.; his sister Carol Jean Rayner, Tiburon Calif.; his grandchildren, Michael Muir and his wife Amanda Muir of Providence R.I., Alyssa, Alexia, Lucinda, Savannah, Victoria, Hope and Cristian Kaufman of Kenosha. He is also survived by one great grandson, Elijah Torres.

The family will be holding A Celebration of Tom's Life to be held on June 9, 2018, at the Fireside Restaurant 2801 30th Ave, Kenosha WI, at 3 pm.
