Tony G. Gomez went to meet his Lord on September 24th, 2018, after a long illness. He is now resting in peace. Tony was born to Antonio and Maria Gomez in Adrian, Michigan on January 4th, 1944. Tony came from a large family. He had four brothers: Siprino (Robert), Gonzalo (Bobby), Manuel and Alexander. He also had four sisters: Gilda Torres, Yolanda Schaefer, Velia Gomez and Silvia Gomez Valle. Tony grew up in Kenosha, Wisconsin along with his siblings. He attended school in Kenosha and graduated from St Joseph Catholic High School. After high school, he joined the United States Army. Tonys rank was 1st lieutenant and served as a Green Beret. Upon leaving the military, he made his home in Phoenix. He had a tax and accounting business for many, many years. Tony had four children: Tony C, Israel (Ike), Kristina his only daughter, but, he saw Laura Vasquez as his daughter as well. Tony was married to Dalia Renteria Silva. He was a proud grandfather of seventeen grandchildren. He also had many nephews and nieces. He was also survived by his Mother-In-Law Refugia, "whom he loved very much." Tony had a sparkling personality. His eyes would glow when he spoke and he contiguous smile. He was very well liked and loved by many. His friends would speak very highly of him. He had many friends in Phoenix and the southwest. Tony has joined his parents, grandparents and brother, Gonzalo (Bobby) in heaven. He will truly be missed by family and friends. Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery and Funeral Home will be his final resting place. Service will begin at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 3rd, 2018 at Queen of Heaven Catholic Funeral Home 1562 E Baseline Road, Mesa.
