Bob and I were best of friends all through high school. We spent many hours listening to rock and roll records, walking to school, learning to smoke and drink beer. We once hitch hiked to Waukegan to see Bill Haley and the Comets. and of course saw Buddy, The Big Bopper and Richie at the Eagle's Club. Roy Orbison also came to town. We went our seperate ways after graduation and were never in touch. I was heartened to see his brother Paul's post and sad to learn of his early death.
