Memorial services honoring the life of Carol will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at the Piasecki Funeral Home, 3720 39th Ave, Kenosha, WI 53144.

A gathering of relatives and friends will be held on Sunday, July 11, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances may be made to the family.

 

Carol Lee Houston, age 79, passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Froedtert South-Pleasant Prairie.

Born on June 5, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Janet (Teakamp) Chiappetta. Carol attended St. Mary’s Elementary School and was a graduate of St. Joseph’s High School. She continued her education at Kenosha Technical Institute and received her nursing degree from Gateway Technical College.

On April 29, 1967, Carol was united in marriage to Frank Dennis Houston. They were blessed with 54 years of marriage.

She was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church.

Carol was employed as a Registered Nurse with St. Catherine’s Hospital and then with Kenosha Memorial Hospital. In her spare time, she enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, cooking, baking, going out to eat and caring for her grandchildren. Carol also loved to travel to Texas to see her daughter Beth. Dennis and Carol loved to watch the Drum and Bugle Corps.

She is survived by her loving husband, Frank Houston; her children, Chris Zoerner, Beth Hempstead and Scott Houston; her grandchildren, Shannon Hempstead, Mitchell Hempstead, Matthew Hempstead, Justin Zoerner, Sydney Houston and Skylar Houston; her brother, Richard Chiappetta; her sister-in-law, Susan Chiappetta, her daughters-in-law, Brenda Zoerner and Dawn Houston and her son-in-law, Mark Hempstead.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her brother, David Chiappetta; her first husband, Gerald Zoerner; her parents-in-law, Claude (Margaret) Zoerner and Frank (Grata) Houston and her grandparents, Urban (Frieda) Teakamp.
