Annette M. Erickson, 81 years old, of Kenosha, WI passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Aurora Medical Center, Kenosha, WI.
She was born September 11, 1942, in Kenosha, WI the daughter of the late Frank and Marlene (Riccio) Blasi. She was very close to both her parents and so proud of her father who was the fire chief for many years in Kenosha. Annette graduated from St. Joseph Catholic Academy, and remained a lifelong resident of Kenosha, where she was a parishioner and choir member of St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church.
Annette had a long career as a legal secretary at Snap On Tools and eventually Case. She had a fascination with the law which prompted her to become a paralegal in 2003. She continued her paralegal work freelance until 2023. One of Annette’s many talents was being a computer genius. She often lent a hand to friends, family, and neighbors if they needed any computer help. Once retired, Annette kept active in her community by taking on the treasurer role at her Condominium Complex for many years. She had many friends in the community who adored her loving nature, sharp wit, and dry sense of humor. Annette cherished spending time with her family and friends, and was a talented crocheter, cross stitcher and seamstress. She spent countless hours crocheting gifts for family and friends and sewing clothing for her grandchildren’s American Girl dolls.
Survivors include her daughter, Sheryl Cohen of Cardiff-by-the-Sea, CA and grandchildren, Van and Dylan Coughlin.
In addition to her parents, Annette was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Petterson; second husband, William Erickson; and daughter, Carla Petterson.
Funeral services and interment will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to Proko Funeral Home.
