Dale L. Snyder, of Abington, a loving husband, father and Papa, passed away on Monday, March 22, 2021, after a 12-year battle with Parkinson's Disease, at age 72. Dale was born on February 23, 1949, in Milwaukee, WI to Mark and Elaine Snyder, who both preceded him in death. He received both his bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and went on to teach and coach for over 50 years. He married Mary F. (Pilger) Snyder on August 29, 1987, and they moved to Abington, where they made a home and raised three daughters and one son. Dale was an avid marathon runner and cyclist. He taught chemistry and physics as well as coached at Milton High School for 27 years until his retirement in 2014. He was an award-winning cross country, track and field and basketball coach, working with various high school and college programs. For nearly 30 years he spent summers working at the Natick Army Labs, where he was involved in research and development leading to several patents. Dale is survived by his wife, Mary Snyder of Abington, his children, Kate Snyder, Molly Snyder, Gabrielle Snyder, Alexander Snyder and wife Melanie Snyder, as well as his first grandchild, their son, Thorin. Dale was lucky to know he had a granddaughter, Aubrey, on the way. Dale also leaves behind two sisters, Alexandra and Mary. The Snyder family will be holding a private celebration of Dale's life in the future. Donations can be made in his honor to the Parkinson's Foundation and to the Dr. Ruth McLain Hospice Home in Braintree where Dale was lovingly cared for in his final days.
