Gary Glassman, 50, of Kenosha, died Friday (April 16th, 2004) at his home.
Born in Kenosha on Sept. 5, 1953, he was the son of the late Jerome and Carol (Bush) Glassman. A lifelong Kenosha resident, he graduated from St. Joseph's High School and attended Gateway Technical College.
On May 29, 1976, he married Deborah A. Ritacca in Kenosha.
He worked as a die cast operator and chief union steward at Johnson Motors until his retirement in 2001.
An avid hunter and fisherman, he enjoyed the Green Bay Packers, the Milwaukee Brewers, NASCAR racing, cribbage and golf. He raced stock cars for the Gus Al Lloyd Racing Team and was known as "Mighty 411" at the Wilmot and Lake Geneva race tracks. He also bowled on the Johnson Motors Day League and the Co-Ed Johnson Bowling League.
Survivors include by his wife; a sister, Debbie (William) Schopp of Kenosha; and two brothers, Thomas (Leslie) and John, both of Kenosha.
Preceding him in death was a sister, Kathy.
Proko Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Gary Glassman will be held on Tuesday, April 20th, at Proko Funeral Home & Crematory, 5111-60th St., at 9:30 AM. Entombment to follow at All Saints Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on Monday from 5:00 PM until 7:30 PM at Proko Funeral Home. Gary is also survived by his three goddaughters, Nicole Schopp, Lori Ritacca and Nina Laudato.
