December 18, 1945 - September 19, 2025

Sylvia Nudi, 79, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully at home on September 19, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on December 18, 1945, in Kenosha, the daughter of William and Barbara Meyers. Sylvia was educated in Kenosha schools and graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School. On March 13, 1982, she married the love of her life, Ralph M. Nudi, at the Kemper Center in Kenosha.

Sylvia began her career at the State Unemployment Office before choosing to semi-retire and dedicating her days to working alongside her husband in business and property management for more than 40 years. She retired in 2019 following Ralph’s passing.

A woman of many passions, Sylvia traveled extensively in the United States and abroad with her husband and daughters. She was an avid reader, reading a book a day up until her death. She had an affection for the ocean, books, mermaids, peacocks, and the Green Bay Packers. As a teen, she cared for her horse and carried her love of animals into adulthood. She found great joy in entertaining, hosting countless family gatherings at her homes in Wisconsin, Illinois, Tennessee, and Florida. She cherished time spent at the office with her husband, tenants, and their beloved pets, as well as winters in Sarasota and pool days with family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Sylvia is survived by her children, Connie (Robert Weiss) Desotell of Kenosha, and Dr. Anne (Francesco Montemurro) Nudi of Kenosha; her daughter-in-law, Julie Nudi of Bristol; son-in-laws, Nick Cochran and Leonard Rauen of Kenosha, along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her special friends, the Reyes family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Anna Grasser, and Barbara Meyers; husband, Ralph; in-laws, Domenic and Mafalda Nudi; brother, Bill Grasser; stepsons, Dominic and Brent Nudi; daughter-in-law, Jerelyn Nudi; and grandchildren, Donald Nudi and Natasha Rutchik.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church (2223 51st St, Kenosha, WI 53140). Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery.

Sylvia wanted to express her heartfelt gratitude to her wonderful friends and caregivers—J. Michael McTernan, Patsy Kolner, Candace Daleb, Dr. Nawaz, Lynda, John, Katie, Kalie, Wendy, Amy, Sue, and Claudia—for their devoted care.
