Alphonso "Al" S. Steel

March 5, 1966 - January 13, 2022

Al Steel, 55, of Kenosha passed away on Thursday January 13, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Al was born on March 5, 1966 in Kenosha the son of Betty Steel and James Harris.  He was educated in the schools of Kenosha, graduating from St. Joseph’s H.S.  He was employed for many years as a forklift driver at Iris U.S.A.  His hobbies included playing basketball, chess, and dominoes, cooking out, but most of all spending time with his family & friends, especially his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Survivors include his companion of 30 years, Elizabeth Taylor of Kenosha, children, Alex Vasquez, Natasha Steel of Kenosha, Alphonso Steel Jr., of AZ, Quincy Steel , Lauren Taylor, Ashleigh Hill, and Liza Taylor-Steel all of Kenosha; mother, Betty Steel-McKethan of Kenosha; sister, Theresa Steel of Racine; many grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Monday January 24, 2022 at Kenosha Funeral Services from 11:00AM-12:00PM, with funeral services to follow at 12:00Noon.  Burial will be at Green Ridge Cemetery.

Luncheon at 2:00PM at The Vault located at 625-57th Street., Kenosha, WI.

Due to COVID, facemasks are required in the funeral home.
