Charlene George, 60, formerly of Pleasant Prairie, late of Union Grove, passed away peacefully, Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Aurora Medical Center-Burlington.

She was born on August 2, 1954 to the late Lois Zuchowski in Wauwatosa. She was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from St. Joseph’s High School. Char went to Gateway Technical College and received her accounting degree as an adult.

On October 1, 1976 she married Roger W. George in Kenosha. He preceded her in death on June 14, 2011.

Char worked as an accountant for a few years then worked at Walgreens for 15 years. She recently started her own business Embroidered Memories.

Char was an avid Packer fan, enjoyed camping, sewing, embroidering, crafts, watching cooking shows and loved listening to country music. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Char is survived by her loving children Tim George of Kenosha, Kevin George of Kenosha, Sheila Chacon of Kenosha, Daneen (Manny) Yrique of Phoenix, AZ, Eric (Michelle) George of Pleasant Prairie and Christina (Virgil) Woodworth of Union Grove, her grandchildren Megan, Crystal, Danielle and Derek George, Sarita (Michael) Martinez, Jeremy (Ashley) Chacon, Matthew George, Brandi Woodworth, Larry Jr., Antonio Yrique and Angela Yrique and her three great grandchildren with one on the way.

She was preceded in death by her uncle and aunt Eddy and Midge Kohling who raised her.

Funeral Services for Char will be held on Tuesday, November 25th at 10:00 a.m. at the Bruch Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials would be appreciated to the American Diabetes Association.

The family would like to thank the ICU staff and the Hospice staff at Aurora Burlington for the compassionate care given to our mother.
