Carol Ann Bellantonio (Guttormsen)

Carol Ann Bellantonio, 79 years old, lifelong resident of Kenosha, WI passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born December 13, 1943, in Kenosha, WI the daughter of the late Gerald and Laverne (Chess) Guttormsen. On June 21, 1986, she married James Bellantonio in Kenosha, WI.

Carol began her career in accounting, and eventually accomplished her lifelong dream of becoming a nurse. She was a talented knitter and loved cooking; decorating and entertaining for the holidays was very special to her. She and James liked to spend time in Door County, and Carol cherished being “Nana” to her eleven grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 37 years, James; children, Jeff Mitchell, Rob (Pam) Mitchell, Jennifer (Bill) Adam, and Kariann Mitchell; stepchildren, Tony (Michelle) Bellantonio and Theresa (Jason) Jester; grandchildren, Jessica (Ryan) Koenes, Kayla (Shane) Ginter, Bronce (Amy) Adam, Cole (Abby) Adam, Elliott Adam, Mariah Bellantonio, Carli McCulloch, Reed Mitchell, Alec Thompson, Tony Knight and Dee Knight; six great-grandchildren; and siblings, Leif (Dr. Margot Hirsch) Guttormsen and Bobbi Guttormsen.

Carol’s family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at Hospice Alliance, who provided such wonderful care.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Proko Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at the funeral home with interment to follow in St. James Cemetery, Kenosha, WI.
