Darlene Girard (Hasselback)

Darlene Hasselback, 61, formerly of Kenosha, late of Lillian, AL, passed away Monday, August 15th, 2005, at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, FL.
Born in Chicago, IL, on December 30, 1943, she was the daughter of LeRoy and Anna Mae (Beach) Girard, Sr. She and her husband moved to Alabama in 1990. They lived back and forth from Alabama to Kenosha in the winter months.
On August 3, 1963, at St. Therese Catholic Church in Kenosha, she married Ernest L. Hasselback.
She had been employed by Krok's Restaurant as a salad girl, a Tupperware Dealer-Northstar Sales, MacWhyte Wire Rope as a key punch operator and later a crossing guard for the city of Kenosha. Darlene received an accommodation from the City of Kenosha for initiating "No Right Hand Turn" at Bain School 52nd Street and 22nd Avenue.
A member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alabama and Ladies of the Moose in Pensacola, FL and #286 in Kenosha, she also loved to Crochet.
Surviving are her husband, Ernest of Lillian, AL; her father, LeRoy Girard, Sr. of Kenosha; three daughters, Theresa (Ron) Tong of Milton, FL, Linda (Harry) Carver of Auburn, MA, and Angela Boler of Lillian, AL; a brother, LeRoy (Madeline) Girard Jr. of Kenosha; two sisters, Loretta (Larry) Schlosser of Culpepper, VA, and Yvonne (George) Klemm of Kenosha; and 10 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Anna Mae Girard, and grandparents.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Aug. 22nd, at 9:15 a.m. at Proko Funeral Home. Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church. Interment to follow at St. George Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Proko Funeral Home.
