Edward Host - Class Of 1967

Edward A. Host

 

Edward A.  Host was born in Kenosha on June 5, 1948.  He was the son of Ralph J. Host Sr. and Jane M. Burns.

A lifelong Kenosha resident, he attended local schools, including St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Joseph's High School.  He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam from 1968 to 1971.

On Feb. 20 1971, he married Patricia Rugg at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Kenosha. They later divorced.

He worked at American Brass for 15 years as a foreman, and later was self-employed as a landscaper and pool installer. He enjoyed playing cribbage and taking long drives. He was also an avid Packers fan.

Survivors include his mother of Kenosha; a son, Thomas of Colorado; two brothers, Ralph "Jerry" Jr. of Kenosha, William "Bill" (Marilynn) of San Martin Calif.; one step-brother Don (Marge) Olson of Streamwood, Ill.; and three sisters Mary Jo (James) Scheibl of Kenosha, Shelley Host of Kenosha, and Mary Bothe of Kenosha. His father preceded him in death.

Ed died on Saturday, March 20, 2004, at Aurora Medical Center.  He was 55 years old.
