James Swanson, Jr.

 

James C. "Jimmy" Swanson, Jr., 32, of Kenosha, passed away on Thursday, June 28th, 2007, at United Hospital System-Kenosha Campus.

Born in Kenosha on July 23, 1974, he was the son of James C. and Gayle (Viola) Swanson, Sr. He was a lifelong resident of Kenosha where he attended St. Mary's Catholic School, Lance Jr. High School and was a 1992 graduate of St. Joseph High School.

On October 11, 2005, he married Angela M. Petersen at St. Mary Catholic Church.

He was employed for the last 9 years at Tithof Tile & Marble as lead stone setter.

A member of St. Mary Catholic Church, he also enjoyed Metal Music, and the Green Bay Packers. He most enjoyed playing with his dog and his nephew Tyler. Jimmy liked working on his house and being with friends and family. He was a great practical joker and liked to tell jokes and was always the life of the party. Jim always made sure he told family and friends he loved them.

Surviving are his wife, Angela of Kenosha; his parents, James C. and Gayle Swanson, Sr. of Kenosha; a sister, Kelly L. Swanson of Kenosha; a nephew, Tyler James Swanson of Kenosha; his grandmother, Angela Viola of Kenosha; and several loving aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by his loving dog, Bandit.

He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Dominic & Elvera Viola and Antonia & John Rossi; paternal great grandparents, Chris & Anna Swanson and David & Viola Sorensen; grandfather, Dante A. Viola; paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Irene Swanson; and his loving dog, Jade.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 2nd, from Proko Funeral Home at 9:30 am. Mass to be celebrated at St. Mary Catholic Church at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday at Proko Funeral Home from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
