Penny Ruth Smith
August 2, 1951 - October 22, 2017
 Penny Ruth Smith was born in Kenosha, WI, on Aug. 2, 1951, and passed away in Tucson, AZ, on Oct 22, 2017.
She is survived by her siblings: Marion Smith (Mary Ann Hollmier), Eric Smith (Diane), Debbie Mann (Randy), Robin Colton (Geoff), and Diane Evans (John Vocino). She was also survived by her aunt, Brenda Engels, uncle, Jerry Smith, and several generations of nieces, nephews, and cousins as well as her very dear friends, Alice Bowman and Bruce Edwards.
She was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Oskosh and moved to Tucson in 1983.
Penny was whip-smart with a wicked wit and a soft heart that she tried to hide. She was a wonderful sister and friend and a great "mom" to numerous rescue cats.
The family wishes to thank Performance Associates International, her employer, for their great kindness and support and to her co-workers for their friendship.
We would also like to thank Arizona Oncology for their care, which they gave with great heart.
Per Penny's request, there will be no formal service, but we'll let you know when we plan the beer bash.
