William Eugene Nowell
1948 - 2016

William Eugene Nowell, 68, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully from a long illness on Sunday, Oct. 2, 2016, with his brother Edward at his side. 

He was born on May 26, 1948, to W. Eugene and Mary E. (Fonk) Nowell. William graduated from St. Mary's Grade School and St. Joseph High School, and attended the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater and the Dominican College of Racine. 

As an adult, William was involved in many sports leagues in the Kenosha area and during his high school years, he excelled in football, basketball, and baseball. 

William is survived by his daughter Kathryn E. Nowell of Milwaukee; the mother of his daughter, Joyce Nowell; and his four grandchildren, Franklin, Karley, Adriana, and Jonathan; brothers, David M. (Wanda) of Chicago, Ill., Edward T. (Theresa) of Des Moines, Ia., John W. of Mexico, and Charles A. of Kenosha. He is also survived by his companion in his later years, Marsha Davis. William was preceded in death by his parents. 

A memorial service will be held at his gravesite at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park, 4300 Green Bay Road Kenosha, Wisconsin, on Oct. 28, 2016, at 2 p.m. Condolences may be sent to P.O. Box 62, South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 53172, addressed to Kathryn E. Nowell.
