Bill was born in Kenosha and was the son of William and Elizabeth (Manna) Wortley. He attended Holy Rosary School, St. Joseph High School, and Carthage College. He served in the Army and retired from Motorola. Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary, Scottsdale, AZ is in charge of the arrangements.
