James E. Hunt, age 57, died Tuesday morning, June 21, 2005, due to complications of a stroke. He was born June 28, 1947, to the late Edward and Barbara (Strittmatter) Hunt, in Marshall, MI and had been an Appleton resident for the past 24 years. Jim graduated from Dominican College, in Racine, in 1969; he received his Masters Degree in History, in 1971, from Marquette University and completed all of the requirements for his Ph. D, in History, at Marquette University. In 1985, Jim and three partners started an investment and financial planning firm, Allan, Haugner and Hunt. Jim is survived by his wife, Marcia M. (Kondrad) Hunt, to whom he had been married for 36 years; two daughters and a son-in-law, Laurie and Matthew David, Kaukauna; Katherine Hunt, Minneapolis; four grandchildren, Jake, Emma, Liam and Lucie David; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Lawrence and Cynthia Hunt, Santa Barbara, CA; Robert and Denise Hunt, Spring, TX; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Hunt and a sister, Kathy Hunt. The funeral liturgy for James will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, June 25, 2005, at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 312 South State Street, Appleton, with Father Michael K. O'Rourke officiating. Friends may call at the church on Saturday, from 9:00 am, until the time of the mass.
