Died: September 10, 2007

Francine J. "Frannie" Curtis, age 61 of Kenosha, passed away on Monday, September 10, 2007 at her residence, after a 2 ½ year valiantly fought battle against cancer.

Born on June 3, 1946 in Detroit MI, she was the daughter of Joseph and Frances E. (Scheuer) Doksus.

Francine was educated in Kenosha schools. She graduated from St. Joseph High School, as a member of the Class of 1964. She received her R.N. degree from Gateway Technical College.

On October 12, 1968 at St. Mary's Lutheran Church, she was united in marriage to David M. Curtis. Together they owned and operated the A&W Restaurant on Roosevelt Road.

Frannie also worked as a LPN and RN for St. Catherine's and Kenosha Hospital; the Kenosha Visiting Nurse Association; Hospice Alliance; and as a travel nurse.

spending winters in Phoenix, Frannie also enjoyed the "Kenosha Ramblers" Camping Club. She had many hobbies, especially stamp art, and was very active with her church groups. (Jeanne) Curtis of St. Paul, MN; a daughter, Jeanine A Curtis of Seattle, WA; two brothers, William L. (Joanne) Boettcher of Kenosha, and Joseph D.
