Charlotte Marie Sepanski, 71, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 4, 2013, at the Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie.

A birthday gift to her mother, Char was born on Nov. 29, 1941, in Kenosha, the daughter of the late Michael R. and Olivia N. (Zocchi) Gallo.

She attended St. James Catholic School, St. Mary High School for three years and was a member of the first graduating class of St. Joseph High School in 1959. Char also attended the Milwaukee School of Cosmetology. Upon completion of the course, she was employed with Cinderella Beauty Salon and Monyas for many years.

On February 24, 1962, she was united in marriage to Steven J. Sepanski. They were blessed with three children. Along with her husband, she owned and operated Williams Sausage Shop, for a few years, and added homemade Italian beef, sausage, ravioli and gnocchi to the venue.

While raising her children, Char began her career in housekeeping at St. Joseph Home and was later given the opportunity to work in the day care center as an assistant to the Director. As she continued to work, she received her certification as an Early Childhood Professional and her Directors Certification. In August of 1990, Char, along with her daughter, proudly established the Extended Love Child Development Center in Pleasant Prairie. They were most successful in their first endeavor and in building a new center to house the business in its present location at 9190-80th Street. Char retired in 2004 after a lifetime of caring for children.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, an active and close member of St. Joseph High School Class of 1959 Alumni, a volunteer with Hospice Alliance and was also its Bingo coordinator. In her younger years, Char was very active through her childrens memberships at St. Mary Catholic School and Church.

She is survived by her three children, Steven J. (Jungsywan) Sepanski, Thomas G. (Lisa) Sepanski and AnnMarie (Charles) Rhey; nine grandchildren, Jeffrey, Nikita, Tyler, Josephine, Kristina, Emma, Thomas, Charles and Angelina; her antique sister, Barbara (William) Morrissey and her former husband.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Laura Rhey; two nephews, Mark and Robert Morrissey.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 8, 2013. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church 7400 39th Avenue. Relatives and friends are asked to meet at church for the Mass. Private inurnment will be held in St. George Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, April 7, from 3 until 7 p.m.
