Karl Louis Sieger, 79, of Fitchburg, Wis., died of Alzheimer's disease at home surrounded by his family on Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017. He was born Jan. 10, 1938, in Kenosha, Wis. He was the son of the late Karl A. and Lorraine (nee Burg) Sieger.

He was united in marriage to Kathleen Fonk on April 16, 1966, and together they raised four children. Karl was a graduate of U.W. Oshkosh. He was a Manufacturing Engineer and lived and worked in Wisconsin all his life.

He was a selfless volunteer, generous with his time, always willing to help at church and in the community. He was the "go-to-handyman" for his children, friends and family, who relied on him for his expertise and precision. Always the engineer, the level and tape measure were his friend.

He enjoyed biking, cooking, spending time with friends and playing cards. The cabin up north was a favorite get-away, a place for him to enjoy the outdoors and putz around endlessly.

His children will remember his stories around the campfire.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen, four children, Kevin (Karen Mrozinski) of East Troy, Melissa (David) Przybylinski of Kansas, Stephanie (Paul) Opper of Madison and Thaddeus of Fox Lake; three grandchildren, Madeline, William and Lucas; siblings David, Richard, Frances, Timothy and Daniel. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Thomas and a sister, Christine.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon, on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Paris Township, Kenosha. Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at church. Inurnment will follow mass in the Parish Cemetery.
