Nancy Marie Hole, 79, passed away on Friday, Jan. 4, 2016, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, Wis. 

She was born on July 23, 1936, in Kenosha to Leo and Emily (Riley) Carney. On Sept. 8, 1956, she married Derek Hole. They were the loving parents of their only child, Jeanine who preceded her in death. Nancy and Derek lived in Kenosha County until 1995 when they moved to La Farge, Wis., in Vernon County. In her early years Nancy worked as a billing clerk for Tri-Clover and Snap On Tools. She enjoyed dancing and camping at Sauk City.

Nancy is survived by her sister, Ann Held of Bristol, Wis.; sisters-in-law, Letty Carney of Zion, Ill., and Arlene Carney of Oklahoma; brother-in-law, Dennis Hole of Bristol; son-in-law, Stephen Payne of La Farge; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. 

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Derek Hole who died on Oct. 12, 2015; her daughter, Jeanine (Stephen) Payne; her sisters, Lucille Koenen Elfering and Dorothy Elfering; her brothers, Robert, Eugene, Joseph, and Gerald Carney; and a grandson, Brendon who died in infancy.

A Memorial Mass will be held at noon on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016, at Holy Cross Catholic Church (East Campus) (formally St. Scholastica) 18700 116th Street, in Bristol, Wis.
