Eugene Francis "Gene" Doyle

1937 - 2014

Eugene "Gene" Francis Doyle, 77, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 21, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born on July 12, 1937, in Kenosha, he was the son of the late James and Mary (Hogan) Doyle. He was a graduate of St. Mary's High School and DeVry Tech with a B.S. in Engineering.

He served in the United State Navy Reserve.

On Feb. 3, 1973, he married Patricia Nedweski at St. Therese Catholic Church.

Gene was employed as a field tech for Honeywell. He was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church. He was the first altar boy at St. Therese. He loved playing football for St. Mary's Catholic Church. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved farming and riding tractors and was also a huge fan of the Cubs, Packers and Badgers.

Gene is survived by his wife, Patricia of Kenosha; three children, Kathleen (Dan) Summers of Pleasant Prairie, Timothy (Michelle) Doyle of Watertown, Wis., and John Doyle of Kenosha; four grandchildren, Cole, Nathan, Emma and Collin; one brother, Richard (Eileen) Doyle of Sturtevant, Wis., and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Sept. 26, at St. Therese Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 25, at Proko Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and then on Friday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
